Mr Apple is New Zealands largest grower, packer and exporter of apples. They focus on producing quality export apples for valuable customers around the world. We are a modern, innovative and vertically integrated company.Theyaim is to deliver the best apples to our customers and the best return to our growers.Their apples can be found in some of the worlds great produce markets as well as leading supermarkets and department stores. Many like TESCOs are household names around the globe. They are proud of the relationships They have with selected buyers worldwide.During the harvest season the work force rises to over 1,500. Seasonal workers, like Inka and jojo come from all parts of the world for employment - to enjoy the work and holiday in the Hawkes Bay sun. Mr Apple grow on their own orchards over 2 million cartons each year, choosing 75% of the best apples for export markets. Throughout Hawkes Bay they have fourteen orchards (the largest produces 350,000 cartons each year) and three packhouses (which pack 2.5 million cartons of apples each year).Organic apples are grown on three of theorchards. A dry Hawkes Bay climate provides ideal growing conditions for over 200,000 cartons of prime organic apples every season.Spread across the Heretaunga and Takapau plains Mr Apple has fourteen orchards. In the higher altitudes of Central Hawkes Bay apples are tastier, redder and firmer. Ideally suited for European and UK supermarkets.Totalling 670 hectares in area, (1,655 acres) Mr Apple grows 2,100,000 cartons annually. They pack 1,800,000 of these for export and New Zealand markets. Te Papa, where Inka and jojo worked is the largest orchard at 104 hectares and produces over 350,000 cartons every season from six varieties. royal gala, pink lady, braeburn, pacific rose, fuji and granny smith.
